These are from my Vimeo page, I forgot to post on here. I just wanted to share these few tests I did. The explosions are particle driven and use colour caching in FumeFx to get different colours mixing in the grid. There's a few artifacts like the smoke hitting the top of the grid, but they're just R&D.
The last one is done using a simple source combined with an effector resulting in the smoke getting coloured pink by velocity.
